Społeczna organizacja kresowa PWL.〕 ==Background== After the German attack on the Soviet positions in Eastern Poland in 1941, the city of Stanisławów, seat of the Stanisławów Voivodeship in the Second Polish Republic before the invasion (now ''Ivano-Frankivsk'', Ukraine) was captured by the Hungarian contingent of the Wehrmacht friendlier towards the local Polish people.
